Natasha King – Salon Owner
Natasha brings to the salon what colour did to television. The mastermind behind our concept and the force behind the brand, Tash brings with her a wealth of knowledge in the hairdressing industry. Having a multi award winning stylist, NZARH Judge, and passionate hairdresser on our team ensures we are all kept up to date with the latest in trends and fashion forecasts. Natasha is an extremely driven person who gives her all to every aspect of the job. Tash was a finalist for NZ hair expo hairdresser of the year in 2016 and 2017.
Tash was a finalist in 2017's Southland Editorial Stylist of the year, which she proceeded to win, also taking out 2017's New Zealand's Editorial Stylist of the year.
Jamie Hoogduin - Creative Stylist
Jamie has been in the industry for 10 years. Having worked locally and in some of the best salon's in Melbourne, Jamie has knowledge some will never experience.
In the salon Jamie has the ability to create cuts and colours with timeless beauty.
Those with fine hair are in for a treat with Jamie, with her cutting precision to help give the fine hair body, bounce and shine. Jamie always finishes her client with a beautiful polished blow wave to finish.
This was recognized nationally, with Jamie finalizing and then going on to win the New Zealand L'Oréal colour trophy. Jamie has also recently become a qualified HITO Industry Assessor, helping to support our future generation.
Jamie wants all her clients to look and feel their best. With her priority being the complete health of the hair. Educating all her clients on what is steps are needed to bring out the best possible condition. Jamie wants her clients to feel as amazing as possible by evolving their look to ensure that it is current but also timeless and beautiful.
Helena Chatfield - Creative Stylist
Helena has been in our team for the last 8 years, with 10 years in the industry.
Since the start of her career Helena has been a natural at creating beautiful special occasion hair. Finding inspiration from some of the best in the world, Helena has the natural ability to recreate these incredible styles on her clients, with stunning results.
Helena has had great success in the Southland Hairdressing awards, claiming numerous placings. Also finalizing in the national Patrick Cameron competition two years running, which is solely on creating beautiful hair-up's.
In the salon Helena strives to make the bridal party feel completely at ease, creating the perfect styles, and making herself a reputation as one of the best.
Helena is also passionate about long healthy seamless blonde hair. Ensuring she keeps the condition her top priority, the results are nothing short of simply stunning.
Helena is off on a Holiday to America for a month in August 2018, be sure to book your appointment with her before she goes!
Michelle Moffat - Senior Stylist
Michelle has been in the industry for 10 years and part of our team for 3 years.
Michelle really enjoys all aspects of cutting and loves to create flattering shapes on her clients to enhance their natural features. Helping to make you feel beautiful and confident.
She enjoys creating strong shapes, soft layers to enhance a look, with colours to match.
Michelle is also amazing at creating beautiful special occasion hair up styles. Beautiful, braiding, soft curls, and a timeless finish.
Whilst helping them feel amazing about themselves and educating them on how to achieve the same look and feeling at home. Michelle believes that constant training and upskilling is really important to keep up with trends and giving her new clients fresh new looks.
Michelle is due to have her 2nd baby in January 2018, she is now away for maternity leave and back in May 2018.
Jo Hall- Senior Stylist
Jo has been with us for 4 years. She is fully qualified after completing her 3 year apprenticeship in 2 1/2 years. A busy Mum, Jo's passion is her craft. Excelling in short funky textured cuts. She loves creating the perfect cut, with colours to match. Never scared or afraid to try something new and bold. Whether it is creating a strong undercut, hair art or definite hairlines, Jo is the girl for you. Also enjoying the creativeness and structure of all men's cuts. Giving the guys a stylish, but well primed cut. She has also had success's at the Southland Regional Competitions. Placing numerous placings in a handful of sections. Jo believes all her clients should feel like they are getting the full service in the salon. Ensuring communication and honesty are top priority. Jo will also service you so you are able to re-create your new style and/or colour at home. Providing you with knowledge and home hair care tips to match.
Kevin Templeton - Senior Stylist
Kevin is our man amongst the madness. So if you have been here over the years, you would have run into Kevin.
With over 40 years in the industry, Kevin has had plenty of experience. In this time Kevin has traveled the world doing what he loves, including fashion shows, TV commercials, competitions, magazine work and feature films to name a few.
Kevin is a natural at creating beautiful classic hair-ups. Creating those that are time-less, classy and polished.
Kevin loves to create a blow-dry that will make your hair soft, bouncy and beautiful.
Kevin's priority is making sure your hair and scalp are in prime condition. Giving you the best possible service to maintain that. Whilst making sure that your appointment with him is always a "special".
Alisha Loach - Senior Stylist
Alisha is the newest member of the Matrix NZ Design Team, this enables her to travel around the country to teach, educate and inspire other hairdressers. At the recent NZARH comps Alisha took out the top award for Southland Senior hairdresser of the year for 2017. This goes to show Alisha's hard work over the past years and is a great representation of her passion for next generation cuts. Alongside this Alisha is an NZARH Judge. Alisha is a qualified stylist that has worked for us for 5 years and over these years she has taken out the Southern and National Titles. She holds the top title awards for the Southland Regional Competitions and has made the Top 5 in the Country for the Next Gen Stylist of the Year. Alisha has also taken out the World Skills Nationals Competition. She is talented in photographic areas, where she has placed top in for NZ next gen editorial and took out the Southland next gen photography competition.. Although she represents Southland proudly she also is in high demand for the latest and coolest hair trends in the salon.
